- Pre-conference networking event at Fearrington Barn on Feb 5th, 6-8:30pm: Amuse Bouche – a Sampling of Perspectives on Climate Adaptation, a panel hosted by NPR’s Frank Stasio
Friday, February 6th:
- Climate Adaptation Conference at Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) in Pittsboro on Feb 6th, 8am-4pm: Break out sessions for in-depth analysis of specific issue for large scale, medium, and backyard farmers along with foodshed activists.
- Keynote: Peter Bane, a permaculture teacher and site designer who has published and edited Permaculture Activist magazine for over 20 years. He helped create Earthaven Ecovillage in North Carolina, and is now pioneering suburban farming in Bloomington, Indiana. Peter is the author of The Permaculture Handbook. Other speakers TBA.
